How authors earn

You earn from stones readers paid for and then spent on your chapters.

Stones a reader earned from checking in or watching an advert do not count, and neither do stones we gave away. That is not us keeping the difference: those stones were never money, so there is nothing to share out. A reader who wants to support you does it by buying stones, and topping up on the website supports you exactly as much as buying in the app does.

Your Studio shows what you have earned, updated as readers read. It also shows which books and which chapters earned it, which is more useful than the total when you are deciding what to write next.
