About Kpnovel

Kpnovel is a home for serialised fiction, novels and short stories released a chapter at a time, by writers who are paid for the work. It is built and run by Rinik Tech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

What we are trying to build

The short version is a place where a reader can find a story worth staying with, and a writer can make a living from the people who stay. Those two things are the same problem seen from opposite ends, and most of the decisions here come from taking both seriously at once.

• The first chapters are free. Not a sample, not a teaser genuinely free, on the web, with no account. A reader who never installs anything still gets them.
• Writers keep their names. A pen name belongs to the writer who uses it, and the books follow the name.
• What a chapter costs is visible before it is opened. No chapter charges more than its length and no price changes after a reader has started a book.

Where we are

Kpnovel is in development. The app, the website and the writing tools are being built in the open, which means some things described here work today and others are being finished. We would rather say that plainly than pretend a launch has already happened.
