You're My Medicine

Audrey Moore has one dream: to inherit her dad's haunted house. There's just one problem. Her dad will only hand it over once the boy who does his homework in Room Seven stops coming.

That boy is Miguel Thompson: top of the year, impossibly handsome, and cursed with a face that never smiles. Audrey's clumsy attempt to scare him away ends with the impossible: he laughs.

So they strike a deal. He'll tutor her; she'll cure his poker face. Cue jokes, rollercoasters, a stray kitten called Dumpling, a rainy piggyback to A&E, and a best friend secretly gaming with the country's biggest pop idol.

But Audrey's overprotective brother has promised to break her legs if she dates before she leaves school. And the more Miguel smiles, the clearer it becomes that the cure only works when Audrey is around.

Because to Miguel Thompson, she isn't just the girl in the ghost costume. She's his medicine.
