The Roof Between Us

Casey has rehearsed the plan for weeks. Show up to the wedding of two best friends in a gray suit, smile for Lola's photos, survive Tyler and his ex's new girlfriend, and go home unseen.

Then the neighbor on the other side of the roof, Rowan, who has always known exactly who they are, offers a different plan: a wig, a green dress, a new name and one night with nobody watching.

By morning "Porsche" is the most honest person at the reception, and Casey cannot put her back in the closet. Between a grandmother who cooks to avoid saying things, a father who fixes bikes in silence, a photo that someone posts without permission, and a darkroom where a quiet photographer names what she sees, Casey has to decide what to call the person in the mirror, and who gets to hear it first.
