The Alpha's Unwanted Pup

Her father threw her away. The enemy Alpha said one word, and it was hers.

Elowen has been called "the pup" in the Greyfen Pack all her life. She scrubs the floors, eats after the dogs, and has never once been asked what she wants. Her wolf never came, and her father never forgave her for the night her mother died giving her life.

Then Blackthorn's Alpha comes to the border, looks at the girl carrying the water, and says: "Mine."

Perrin is cold, silent and feared. He says he is only claiming Thalia's daughter under an old law. He does not say that the moment he saw her, the bond hit him like a blow, or that if anyone finds out, the treaty breaks and Greyfen gets the war it has been waiting for.

Elowen has one winter to win the pack's vote. She has a grandmother she never knew, a kitchen full of girls who will not look at her, and a wolf that finally wakes, small and silver, in the middle of a blizzard.

But Greyfen did not send her away out of hate alone. Someone wanted her gone the night she was born. And the Alpha who threw her away is about to learn what he gave to his worst enemy.
