My Alpha Husband Chose His Mistress

At the Blood Moon, every Alpha in the north takes his luna's hand in front of the whole pack.

Dorian Kessler took Tamsin's.

Sabine stood alone in the circle while the entire pack watched her husband lead his mistress to the high stone. Everyone waited for her to cry or beg or run.

Sabine opened the Book of Law instead.

The law is old and clear. An Alpha who sets aside his luna in front of the pack has broken his oath to it, and any wolf may challenge him for his seat. No woman has done it in two hundred years. Sabine stands up in front of the whole pack and does it anyway.

She has until the next full moon. She can't beat Dorian by strength. And the law says no challenger may stand in the circle alone.

Only one wolf steps forward to stand with her: Callum Drake, the pack's lawkeeper. He is cold and patient, he has hated Dorian for years, and he doesn't explain why. He teaches Sabine the law line by line, trains her on the frozen lake before dawn, and never once tells her she will win.

Then Tamsin comes to Sabine's door in the middle of the night, shaking.

Dorian didn't choose her for love. He chose her because her father holds the land Dorian has been selling behind the pack's back. And Tamsin wants out before the next full moon, when Dorian means to put her name on his papers.

Now the woman Sabine was meant to hate is the only one who knows Dorian's secrets. The man beside her in the circle is the only one she can trust. And every night they spend over the old books, Callum stands a little closer.

Dorian chose his mistress in front of everyone.

When the moon rises, Sabine is going to make him answer for it in front of everyone too.
