Dr Sophia: My Husband's Uncle Won't Let Me Go

She was the greatest physician of her age. Then an unknown mountain herb killed her, and she woke up in a hotel bed in the body of Sophia Smith.

The Sophia everyone knows is a laughingstock: the unloved wife of Henry Scott, who flaunts his mistress in public and treats her like furniture. Last night she was meant to be caught in a hotel room with another man. And the man who was sent to catch her, Livinus Scott, Henry's cold and untouchable uncle and the most powerful man in the city, is the one who ended up in the bed.

The new Sophia doesn't cry. She takes pulses. With three fingers on a wrist she can read a lie, a hidden pregnancy or a poison. With a handful of silver needles she can wake a man from a coma. She reopens her family's forgotten clinic on the mountain, cures the patients the hospitals have given up on, and turns the Scott family's contempt into a queue of desperate customers at her door.

Her husband wants his mistress. His mistress wants her ruined. His family wants her formula. And Livinus Scott wants only one thing: to find out who the woman in Room 2700 really was.

Divorce is easy. Staying away from her husband's uncle is not.
